ROMANTICISM

When you hear the word Romanticism you probably think of love, lust and sex. Well, the
Romanticism period may have included a smidgen of this but it really didn't live up to
its name. The Romanticism period included feelings and emotions, nature, the
supernatural, fantastic aspects, adn individuality. All put togetherto form ones view of
life.
Naturally Henery David Thoreau expressed his biew of life in Walden as, I went into the
woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of
life,... when I came ot die, discover that I had not lived. In this Thoreau espresses
that you should not go through life with out living it to your best. That you need to
live for all you can and do all you can.
